Sunday (7-19)

Kade had a pretty good night, but became a little fussy from about 3am-4am. He is running a fever and has vomited this morning, so we are not sure if it is from withdrawal or he has caught a virus. Hopefully it is just his body reacting to withdrawal, the last thing we need is a virus!

The surgeon stopped in this morning and is still thinking that we could possible go home at the end of the week. Kade will need to be weened off of the Methadone before we can go home. The retention sutures will most likely come out before we leave also. Dr. Azarow said that he is looking at the first week in August to repair the stoma, which would be a wonderful birthday present for all of us!!

We do not know if Madonna inpatient treatment is in our future or not, that will be determined this week. I would rather have him home and take him there when needed, but we will do what is best for Kade.

Kade is resting now, so I am going to sneak down and get some breakfast and COFFEE!!
Thanks for keeping up with us.

I'm so sorry to hear that Kade had such a rough night...he was so happy when I left on Friday! I thought of you guys in church this morning when our pastor was preaching on Psalm 23: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me, Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." You continue to have such postive attitudes at this time when so much is unknown. You are a great inspiration!

I hope your day improves, and I should see you guys tomorrow!

    Amen and Amen!

Lord, little Mr. Kade has come so very far, thanks to Your loving kindness to him and his family. Please continue to heal him and to wrap him and his precious family in your healing wings. It is evident they have chosen to be named as Your children and that they have amazing faith. Please uphold them and continue to work in and through them. Thank you Jesus. In Your precious name, Amen!

I am so glad to hear things are going well. I stopped by last week while you guys were at the wedding. Kade looked so good and was smiling while grandma was holding him. Good luck this week and I wish you the best.
